The workshop held at the IED in Turin within the master in sustainable architecture of which ARCò and co-coordinator together with the arch. Riccardo Balbo. The one-month workshop consists of a theoretical part, where the design theme of the school within the Gaza Strip is developed, referring to functional programs and hot areas reported by the authorities, and starting from the concept of Urban Acupuncture as a system revitalization of the region; and a practical part that involves the construction of a prototype where to experiment the construction techniques used in the design: tires, bags, straw, bottles, etc. The prototype, with the name of ARCOTIPO, is built inside the Michelotti park in Turin, in self-construction by the students of the course with the help of local workers.
